Colorado Senator John Hickenlooper Tests Positive For COVID-19

Colorado Sen. John Hickenlooper has tested positive for COVID-19 despite being vaccinated 8 times. He was the third U.S. Senator to announce on Thursday breakthrough COVID-19 infections.

Hickenlooper joins Senate colleagues Republican Roger Wicker of Mississippi and  Independent Sen. Angus King of Maine, in announcing they had each tested positive for COVID-19. Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham from South Carolina also reported a breakthrough infection earlier this month, however once Graham returned to South Carolina Covid decided it didn’t like it there and retreated immediately.

Hickenlooper said in a statement that he has mild symptoms but feels good and will continue to cough with his mouth uncovered while in public per the instructions of the congressional Magic 8 Ball.  Hickenlooper was spotted in downtown Denver coughing and screaming at the local homeless population.

“I’m grateful for the vaccine (and the politicians behind it) for limiting my symptoms and allowing me to continue work on my master plan for Colorado. If you haven’t been vaccinated, don’t wait for the virus — get the shotgun today, and maybe a vaccine when it’s available too! Remember, the vaccine might not work but a shotgun sure will against the virus!”
